Training Camp is over! This also means that we are 1 month into this insane journey. Part of me feels like I’ve known people here for ages and been here forever. On the other hand this month has flew by and I’m scared how fast the rest of this will go as I feel like we have so much yet to do. Now our time in the US is quickly coming to a close. The sessions and learning has finished and now it’s time to go serve the world. That being said, it was actually an amazing experience, and one that was far better than expectations. Having the atmosphere to grow so incredibly close to one another, learn biblical truths, make my faith firmer, and camp, has all been absolutely incredible.
On that note, the final week was so fun. We’re to the point where we aren’t in the get to know you phase as much as we’re actual friends. We are all getting so much closer to one another, and the Lord. The final week was far less stressful and we had more time to be able to hangout, play spike ball, and even went to a lake. It was so fun to just hangout and do life this week with people who love the lord and have such similar passions as I do.
Now we go to Kentucky. Which I can’t say that I’ve even ever thought of as an actual place. I’m not quite sure what’s there other than KFC. Should be a good time though. We will be near Jackson, Kentucky helping with Samaritan’s Purse in flood relief. We’ve been told it will be hard work from 8-4:30ish every day. This will be hard but should be so good. Being able to help out these people who have lost everything will be so rewarding. As the cherry on top we won’t have to sleep outside and will instead have a church floor to sleep on.We will be here for about 2 weeks before headed back to Georgia for 4 or 5 days, and then Flying to Cambodia.
As a whole my time here has been great. I’m in great health, great spirits, and with great people. I’m so stoked for what’s yet to come, but also thankful for what I’ve been able to do thus far.

Always good to read your blog, thanks for the update. We continue to keep you in our prayers. I’m so proud of you. Glad to hear you are helping the folks in Ky. I am praying that area will not experience more flooding due to the hurricane that made land fall in Florida today as the system moves north. Continue to stay safe and healthy. May God’s richest blessings be on you and the team. Granny
